The Public Relations Officer of Give to Life Charity Organization, Madam Helena Kankam says over one thousand individuals have benefited from their training programs so far across the country.
The non-governmental organization says the rationale behind the exercise is to create jobs for the youth by training them in various vocational skills such as cake making, satellite training, shower gel and soap making, and fascinator/beads making among others.
The NGO says it is bent on eradicating poverty by 80% while empowering the youth to be self-sufficient for a sustainable.
Madam Helena indicated that the NGO will continue to train more youth in skill development.
“From 2021 till now over a thousand individuals have benefited from our skill development agenda. This is the ninth time we are embarking on this training. As an organization, our major focus is to empower the youth by giving them jobs in the form of hand skills. For instance, one can decide to be an installer or a cake maker among others. We also assist people with startups as well as educational support” the PRO of Give to Life told Citi News.
The PRO further indicated that the organization aims to bring hope to the youth.
Executive Director of World Inspiring Network Maxwell Odonkor expressed satisfaction with the collaboration between the two entities adding that the training is not only focusing on equipping the youth with the necessary skills but empowering them with the vision to fight climate change in other to ensure a sustainable future for all.
“The partnership between the two organizations will go a long way to help the individuals we train to be eco-warriors of tomorrow. We will train them with the vision to fight climate change while ensuring that their business is successful,” Maxwell Odonkor added.
